The crucifixion is represented in the fifth group of seven Hail Mary’s that are said in this chaplet. While saying these prayers, our hearts should reflect our willingness to join Mary in this supreme sorrow that delivered each of us into the hands of her Son and offered us eternity in heaven. While we have not been asked to carry this burden, it only seems right that in our hearts we willingly help her carry it so that she is not alone.
