1 Peter 3:3-4
“Let not yours be the outward adorning with braiding of hair, decoration of gold, and wearing of robes, but let it be the hidden person of the heart with the imperishable jewel of a gentle and quiet spirit, which in God’s sight is very precious.”
This verse doesn’t mean that you can’t braid your hair or wear gold jewelry. Rather, it shows the importance of a kind heart and gentle spirit over a polished appearance. Instead of spending excessive time agonizing over the perfect outfit or shopping for the latest fashions, work on cultivating virtue and performing acts of kindness for others. In other words, let your inner beauty shine!
