John Eldredge's books on Christian masculinity have made him one of the top-selling religious authors of the past decade. In "Wild at Heart," he criticizes churches for offering a weak form of spirituality that men find unappealing and unsatisfying. Eldredge encourages men to experience God for themselves through rites of spiritual passage.
Eldredge's message is not just for men, however. His "The Sacred Romance" and "Captivating" (written with his wife, Stasi), among other titles, have also found millions of readers. Eldredge is also the founder of Ransomed Heart Ministries, which specializes in spiritual boot camps for men and women. He lives with his wife and three sons in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
