Confronting Graham's Demons

This episode reminds us that Billy Graham is a great man, but he is not perfect.

That Mr. Land feels he has the 'right' to comment on what was "caught on tape" 30 years ago prohibits one from understanding a.) that people can make mistakes, and b.) that people can change over time. It will be very interesting 30 years from now to look back on what Mr. Land has said about God's gay and lesbian children. I'm sure "good Christian" folk will find Land's utterances equally "infamous", "irrational" and 'disturbing'. At least Rev. Graham "confronted the demons of racial prejudice and segregation". One cannot say the same thing about Land's homophobic prejudices. I find Land quite un-Christian, not to mention hypocritical in the extreme. Whoda thunk "Christian extremist" would apply to North American "christians", eh?
