A Sacramental Marriage
Some couples may not be blessed with children of their own. The Church teaches that “spouses to whom God has not granted children can nevertheless have a conjugal life full of meaning, in both human and Christian terms. Their marriage can radiate fruitfulness of charity or hospitality and of sacrifice” (CCC #1654).
God may have other plans for these couples. Perhaps they are called to adoption or to foster care. There are so many children who do not have parents to take care of them or are in temporary situations where a loving home will provide a place during difficult circumstances. Adoption and foster care are beautiful acts of self giving!
