Today is not going right, perhaps. Someone has hurt you, or things at work are not going as planned as it should. Since we can’t live in a church, technology is the buffer when you can’t get the Bible or a devotional out. Faith applications can help and be used as a tool between meetings, after a heated argument, or when you need the Word of God, stat!

Before you go off the deep end, turn the day around.

Don’t let a bad experience determine your day. These five apps can help you in a pinch.

T.D. Jakes Bible App: Senior pastor of The Potter’s House of Dallas released a comprehensive app taking users through the Bible from Genesis to Revelation with study notes. The interactive will feature entertaining formats such as using personalities voicing the Bible. “The unique assembling an international cast of award-winning actors, musicians, notable personalities and members of the clergy within the app’s audio bible feature that brings key passages and well known stories to life in a vivid engaging way.”

Life.Church Bible App: This is the top Bible based app that has garnered more than 100 million downloads. You can share with people the scriptures on social media, join a community, you can read, listen and highlight Scripture. There are tools to help create a plan of action for the day and year. Love Out

Loud Devotional App: Getting a devotional in can be hard, and the publishing industry has taken notice by releasing app to go with books. Joyce Meyer has the Love Out Loud Devotional and her classic Battlefield of the Mind app based on the books of the same title. These have devotional features and Scriptures you can pull from. This is great when you need to add fuel to the spiritual tank.

The Purpose Driven Life Devotional App: Based off of pastor and best-selling Rick Warren’s book, The Purpose Driven Life, comes an app to help give people encouragement, hope, and direction. The app also has video options and study guides.

The Pope App: The Pope has an app! You can keep up with Pope Francis by streaming videos, hearing his speeches, and keeping up the inspirational leader. Also check out the Catholic Church App, an all inclusive app. This includes news from the Vatican and the Catholic News Service.

Faith without action leads us nowhere. Use apps or any tool to help you through a bad day, or when feeling betrayed. Even when there is a good day, dive into the Word.

Let me share this Scripture before we part from Psalms 27:1.

“The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The LORD is the strength of my life-- of whom shall I be afraid?”

Be of good cheer, friend. He is with you today. No one can ever change this. Do your research to find the right app that works for you.
