I consider myself a want-to-be Christian and took the test to see what it would think i am. It decided i was a Seventh-Day Adventist, but i read the description above and under no circumstances do I believe that abortion should be acceptable.

I'm sure it's true of most of the articles on this website - that the belief descriptions don't accurately reflect the beliefs of individuals within that system to the degree that each individual would accept each statement with no caveats. The following is true for myself: The only statement that should appear under the heading of "Salvation" is the first sentence. Everything that follows should appear under another heading as it is unrelated to the issue of Salvation.

On re-reading, the article above, I think I need to qualify the criticism contained in my previous comment: I accept most of the article as accurate. However, there are several significant areas where liberal Adventists have differing views.

The above description represents the most conservative views in the Adventist Church. They are not "false" but they do not reflect the intellectual and spiritual center of the denomination. On several topics--the literal historicity of Genesis 1-11, the importance of trivial lifestyle distinctives, and the way faith and works interact there are significant alternative perspectives within the Seventh-day Adventist Church.
