The Basilica of the Annunciation, located in Nazareth, is the place where the angel Gabriel spoke with The Virgin Mary. This church is said to be built on the ruins of Mary’s old home where she lived as a child. "The angel said to her, 'Do not be afraid, Mary; you have found favor with God. You will conceive and give birth to a son, and you are to call him Jesus. He will be great and will be called the Son of the Most High' (Luke 1:30-32)."
