King Saul :
Saul was the first king of the United Kingdom of Israel. He was anointed by the prophet Samuel and reigned from Gibeah. He fell on his sword to avoid capture in the battle against the Philistines at Mount Gilboa, during which three of his sons were also killed. The succession to his throne was contested by Ish-bosheth, his only surviving son, and his son-in-law David, who eventually prevailed.
David and Solomon:
King Solomon is King David's son. King David wanted to build the temple but God did not allow it. In the end King Solomon built the temple, but put false idols inside of it.
King David was a righteous man before God. He remained faithful until his death. He praised God through many songs called Psalms. Whereas, King Solomon wrote Proverbs, Ecclesiastes, and The Song of Solomon.
