Rev. Run - Christian

Joseph Simmons, AKA Rev. Run, was a founding member of 80s hip hop sensation Run-D.M.C.. The group was the long time face of rap, but not known more for their “Devastating Mic Control” than for any kind of religious beliefs. In 2004, not long after the group disbanded, DJ Run was ordained as a Pentecostal minister and became Rev. Run. Since he has had a television show and been inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. He is also a dynamic presence on Twitter, dispending spiritual wisdom and inspiration to his many followers. He only released one solo album way back in 2005, but it’s hard to deny his legacy as a religious rapper.
