Peter Criss is a founding member of rock band KISS. While he is no longer with the band, he is using that notoriety to help raise awareness for breast cancer – in men. He was diagnosed with the disease, and like many men was caught off guard that such a thing exists. Less than 1 percent of cases are in men, but they have a low survival rate simply because they aren’t aware of the disease.
