Bella and Edward are in the same Biology class and Edward formally introduces himself. They are completing a class project on mitosis and engaging in small talk. Edward is unable to read Bella's thoughts, so he asks her a lot of questions trying to get to know her. Later, Edward saves Bella from getting hit by a car in the parking lot and again from drunken frat guys. Later, Edward reveals to Bella that he's a vampire but instead of being scared Bella is intrigued and okay with it. The two are drawn to each other and become inseperable.
