Walter was always searching for meaning, confidence and his purpose. One day he found that spark after watching the Muppets and remained their biggest fan even after they retired. His brother Gary and his girlfriend Mary were headed to LA and brought Walter along to visit the old set of the Muppets. During their tour, Walter finds out that Tex Richman plans to destroy the studio and drill for oil. Walter seeks out Kermit and the old gang to come together and hold a marathon to raise money to keep the studio. However, they fall short, but Tex ultimately decides to have the Muppets keep their land. Walter finds his purpose and independence with the resurrected Muppets.
