The 10 Commandments

The Ten Commandments is a 1956 epic film that dramatized the biblical story of the Exodus, in which the Hebrew-born Moses, an adopted Egyptian prince, becomes the deliverer of the Hebrew slaves.

The Ten Commandments is one of the most financially successful films ever made, grossing over $65 million at the US box office. In 1999, The Ten Commandments was selected for preservation in the United States National Film Registry by the Library of Congress as being "culturally, historically, or aesthetically significant". In June 2008, AFI revealed its "Ten Top Ten"—the best ten films in ten American film genres—after polling over 1,500 people from the creative community. The Ten Commandments was listed as the 10th best film in the epic genre.

Jonah: A Veggie Tales Movie

Jonah: A Veggie Tales Movie is an animated film released in 2002. It's the first feature length film in the Veggie Tales series. The film weaves two stories together to illustrate these themes. The first takes place in the current day and concerns a mishap that occurs on the way to a concert. The second, set in ancient Israel, is based directly on the Biblical story of Jonah. Through both stories viewers learn that they should be compassionate and merciful and that all people deserve a second chance.

Box office sales grossed over $25 million. Considering the film is the first release of the popular Veggie Tales films and target audience, sales were excellent.

Upcoming Films

Several blockbuster hits are in the making in Hollywood.

- Noah: Russell Crowe will star in the film as Noah, based on the popular Noah's Ark. Due to release March 2014.

- Gods and Kings: Steven Spielberg will direct the movie about Moses. No release date is set, Warner Bros has released that Spielberg has finally committed to the direction of the film. There is no release date on this film.

- The Redemption of Cain: Will Smith will make his directing debut. The film will capture the biblical account of the story of Cain and Abel. Production of the film will begin July 2013. No further release information is released.

- A Prequel to the Passion of the Christ: Odeya Rush has already been casted in the film, where she will play Mary. The film will focus on the life of Mary Mother of Christ. There is no release date on this film.
