Forget about "American Idol."  Beliefnet wants to hear your vocal talent. The catch is, we only want to hear you sing one song--"Amazing Grace."

With the release of the movie "Amazing Grace" on February 23, we would like to showcase your renditions of this timeless song. The film tells the story of William Wilberforce, a British politician who successfully fought to end slavery in the British empire--a cause in which he was strongly influenced by John Newton, a former slave ship owner who wrote the now-classic hymn.

We’re open to any style--gospel, classical, rock, rap, etc.--as long as the song is "Amazing Grace." We encourage entries from amateur choirs and children’s choirs, in addition to professional and semi-professional ensembles. Or, you can simply record yourself singing along to the song by yourself or with a friend.

Please email audio files of your recording to BeliefnetAmazingGrace@gmail.com or mail CDs (no cassettes, please) to:
