Like animation, the past decade has seen an explosion of brilliant work in this category and some outstanding films were overlooked, including "Brooklyn Castle," "Chasing Ice," "The Emergency Room," "The Impostor," and "This is Not a Film." All five nominees are as good as any Oscar-winning documentary ever selected, so this is a very tough category.
