My agent’s idea of a murder mystery involving a letter Jesus wrote kept haunting me. I thought, “We know Christ could write.” First of all, the Jewish boys of His day went to the Temple three times a day. We know at age 12 He was speaking in the temple in Jerusalem at Passover and that the elders were astonished at His wisdom and knowledge of the scriptures. So, we knew He could read and write. So, I thought, “Who was someone he might write a letter to?”
