Always give a task your best. If you go through life only giving a task half of your effort, you will never really know what you're able to accomplish or what you're worth. In reality, the only person that you will be cheating is yourself because you will never know what your full potential is or what you were really suppose to do in life. If you give everything your best and live without restraints, you will never wonder if you could have done better or if there was something more to life because you will have already explored all the avenues to your path.
