Army specialist Terry Holdbrooks has been working at Guantanamo Bay for six months when he had a conversation with Ahmed Errachidi, a Moroccan detainee known as “The General”. That conversation led to
an interest in Islamand ultimately the oath of faith (the Shahada).
It’s an intriguing story about how faith blossoms in the unlikeliest places. Holdbrooks adopted the new name “Mustafa” and has been active in testifying about human rights and civil rights abuses he observed while he was serving at Gitmo.
