Many of the books on this list have changed my life and deepened my soul. I am grateful for the understandings and inspiration that has developed from reading these. I am always interested in inspirational books and have recently discovered a book of prayer that opens doors of depth and discovery. Prayers at 8:30 by Stanley Schmidt has 104 illustrated prayers that have moved me in profound ways.

I had read this in my class in the 6th grade, it was my favorite book & still is one of my favorites. But there were many more after that one & before it, don't under estimate a book it could mold your life in the future.

I could not agree more that both inspirational books and motivational books can show us new worlds and redefine old ones. I truly believe in the statement, "When the student is ready, the teacher appears." When a certain book appears into our lives, it is because we are ready for that book I am also to believe. Different books have different meanings for different people. We are all at different stages and levels in life, so different books will appeal and be of value to us at different times. So to answer the question, "What is the #1 best inspirational and motivational book?" I do not believe there is one for everybody, so there is no right or wrong answer I believe.
