It is hard to avoid this story each holiday
season. As we noted in our top Animated
Christmas films list, it seems as old as Christmas itself. What really makes the story a classic is the
way it unfolds, revealing the depth of Scrooge’s character through his own
memories. Those memories work as a
reminder to all of us that there will always be good times and bad times, what
matters is how we respond to them. Where
the book inspires most though, is in the fundamental change in Scrooges’
personality at the end. It’s an
uplifting holiday reminder that anyone can change, no matter how far off course
they go.
