The Life of the Prophet by Martin Lings is the best English biography I have ever read. Firmly based in the classical sources of the Prophet's Biography, it paints a both brilliant and beautiful picture of the Prophet Muhammad and his life and ministry. When I read this book, I live and walk with the Prophet, which is why I love it so much. It is a must have for any library about Islam.
