Miriam: Repentance and Redemption in Rome
Miriam is about vulnerability.
In a time where the weak are deemed undesirable while the strong are valued, we are prone to cherish individualism and “moxy. “ If we can’t pull ourselves up by the bootstraps than we begin to believe we deserve to be left behind. Miriam’s story teaches us that God lives in our vulnerability—that in our weakness we are strong! We see that God sends us friends to lower us on our mats through the roof so that we may reach Jesus. Her story sheds a new light on our vulnerabilities.
