OK, so we like the dark blue better than the light blue we had before. But that's not the main reason we changed some of our design. We have a number of important new features on the site, and we wanted to make it easier to get around. These are all in service of our general mission: helping you meet your own spiritual needs.

  • Beliefnet Shopping. We're very pleased to announce the opening of the Beliefnet Shopping area. We've dramatically expanded our selection of products and are, for the next 30 days, offering you $20 off purchases of $50 or more.

  • Celebration Kits. Beliefnet members have used our Prayer Circles and Memorials to create profound, moving tributes to friends and family. We wanted to give you the opportunity to commemorate life's most joyous moments too. We now have kits to help you celebrate weddings, births, religious events (bar mitzvahs, confirmations, etc.), as well as other major milestones, such as graduations and sobriety anniversaries.

  • Web Services. We're also introducing a new effort to help houses of worship take full advantage of the web. Our first step is Web Start, an easy-to-use kit, customized to the needs of religious and spiritual organizations. It's very simple to set up, and, just as important, it's very easy to maintain. It can also be used by Bible-study groups, youth groups, or other informal gatherings.

  • Resource area. We've created a new Resource channel that will make it easier to find what you need on Beliefnet and around the web. It brings under one virtual roof our most popular multimedia features, the house of worship locators, sacred texts, quizzes, and more.

  • Family and Life Events. We've reorganized a few sections. We merged the former Milestones section with the Family section to create a Family & Life Events section that includes features on birth, marriage, parenting, relationships, illness, and death.

More changes are on the way. Please let us know what you think of the new design and what you'd like to see included in the next round of changes. We've already seen great comments from you on possible improvements (as well as on some more profound subjects) in our "Beliefnet Town Meeting."

    Thanks for your support.
