Imam Feisal Abdul Rauf is the Founder and Chairman of

The Cordoba Initiative

, a multi-faith organization formed to improve the relationship between the Islamic World and United States. He is also the Imam of Masjid Al-Farah, a mosque in New York City. Rauf is the author of "Islam: A Search for Meaning," "Islam: A Sacred Law," and most recently, "What's Right With Islam: A New Vision for Muslims and the West." He was born in Kuwait in 1948 into an Egyptian family steeped in religious scholarship. He was educated in England and Malaysia and has a degree in physics from Columbia University. He lives in New York with his wife Daisy Khan.
