Kristen Bell, originally from suburban Detroit, was raised by her mother after her parents divorced when she was two years old. Bell’s parents transitioned her from public to Catholic school for her high school education, and she began to pursue drama, music and acting, starring in her school’s production of The Wizard of Oz as Dorothy. She moved to New York after graduation to attend NYU, but by then had become a near-veteran actress with multiple roles under her belt and working with an agent by the age of thirteen. Her more recent roles include the titular character on the series Veronica Mars, and it’s feature-length film sequel, as well as roles on the CW series Gossip Girl with Leighton Meester and Blake Lively, and major roles in Forgetting Sarah Marshall with Jason Segel, When in Rome, Burlesque with Cher, Disney’s Frozen, and the Showtime Series House of Lies.
