Beliefnet (www.beliefnet.com), the Web’s leading multi-faith inspiration and spirituality site and a property of BN Media (Norfolk, VA), announced B. Dave Walters as the winner of their “Be the Next Beliefnet Blogger” contest. The search for the next columnist began on July 1, 2011 and concluded August 31, 2011.
During the month of July, Beliefnet Community members competed to join the award-winning team of experts, Beliefnet Voices, in the categories of News & Politics, Faith, Hope & Inspiration, Entertainment, and Health & Holistic Spirituality. Judging for the contest was conducted by guest bloggers and veterans of Beliefnet Voices. The guest judges selected five experts and an announcement was made to the community on August 12, 2011. These finalists were further judged by their peers and the Beliefnet audience. Dave overwhelmingly triumphed with 63% of the votes. The second nearest contestant was Yogashanan having 26% of the total votes.
Dave considers himself a mix between Joel Osteen and the “Old Spice” commercial guy. He is an experienced life coach, writer, and radio personality whose mission in life is to serve others. Dave will join the Beliefnet Voices as a blogger and will have an opportunity to share his expertise with the millions that visit Beliefnet each month.
