Fallen Towers, Rising HopeStories and photos of hope from the hearts of those who were touched
T.D. JakesAn Ode to 9/11
Cascading towers, eroding hope, Unimagined devastation, beyond all scope; Sadness deepened, an enemy defined, Patriotism arisen, hearts realigned. Fathoming not the hand fate dealt, A time of uncertainty, in His presence I knelt; I shall never forget innocence lost, For a nation at peace, an inconceivable cost. Amazing resilience shone in our eyes, Though heroes have fallen; like the Phoenix we rise; With endurance, we soldier on to run the race, Thanking God for His sufficiency of unending grace. Recalling that day, ten years come and gone; I will never forget, though life lumbers on; Remembering the loss, a sorrow so heavily weighed, For all Christ died, the price now paid. He is my Refuge as the arrow by day flies, Wickedness banished before my very eyes; Under His wings, a place of dwelling, I unfailingly find, A truth worth telling: Salvation is mine! Although the story here does not end, To God be the glory Who triumphs over sin! Next Story: Dr. Charles Stanley
