Fallen Towers, Rising HopeStories and photos of hope from the hearts of those who were touched
Greg LaurieAs we observe the 10th anniversary of 9/11, most of us remember that day so clearly, including where we were and what we were doing when we stopped to watch our televisions as the first, and then the second tower of the World Trade Center collapsed in a heap of rubble. We realized that a whole new kind of battle had begun—even more than a military conflict, though it includes that; this is a war of ideas, a war of beliefs. But the weapons of our warfare, the Bible says, are not physical; they are mighty through God to the bringing down of strongholds. This battle ultimately will not be won with M-16s, it will be won with John 3:16, telling a lost culture that God so loved the world, He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. We need to redouble our efforts to get the gospel out, because this is the message that America and the world need to hear; it's the most appropriate thing to focus on as we mark the 10th anniversary of one of the darkest days in America’s history. As Christians, let us all refocus our efforts on sharing the gospel with anyone who will listen. Next Story: T. D. Jakes
